President Donald Trump will welcome cryptocurrency leaders to the White House next week for a landmark summit on digital assets.
Set for Friday, the Crypto Summit will be the first event of its type hosted at the White House.
The White House announced that Trump will address attendees with prepared remarks.

According to the administration, the gathering will feature “notable founders, CEOs, and investors from the cryptocurrency sector, alongside members of the president’s Working Group on Digital Assets.
Venture capitalist David Sacks, who serves as the White House AI and crypto czar, will spearhead the summit, with Bo Hines, executive director of the working group, overseeing its execution.
This follows Trump’s January executive order creating the working group, composed of representatives from multiple federal agencies tasked with guiding White House digital asset policy.
The group draws expertise from the Treasury, Justice, Commerce, and Homeland Security departments, as well as the Office of Management and Budget, the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and other entities.
Bloomberg News reported that Trump, during his 2024 campaign, pledged to simplify regulations, promote a stablecoin framework, and create a national Bitcoin reserve.
While not all campaign promises have been realized, the summit and his administration’s approach mark a sharp departure from the Biden administration’s stringent regulatory stance, per Bloomberg News.
Once a vocal skeptic who labeled cryptocurrency a “scam,” Trump recently launched his own memecoin just before resuming office in January.
