Indian Institute of Management
IIM Full Form is Indian Institute of Management. IIMs are a group of institutions which provide the management students of India to pursue their post-graduate, doctoral or executive level of studies. These institutes are autonomous and they supervise all of their operations on their own. The students are taught by highly experienced and expert teachers who are established in their fields. The idea of establishing IIMs was generated during the regime of India’s first Prime Minister, J. Nehru.
Establishments of these institutes have marked a radical change in the sector of management studies and this has developed notably over the years. IIMs are mainly noted for their 2-years flagship program named Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). This course offers the student to learn everything about the business, financial, organizational management with an exclusive focus on business ethics. Students must have a valid CAT, GATE, GMAT or GRE score in order to apply for admission into any of the 19 IIMs.
The executive level program is designed for the working professionals. The doctoral program is designed to make the students capable of teaching and researching in various fields of management.
